Oh well, true to form, the weather did exactly as I thought it would. Been sunny for weeks, then sure enough, on the day of the astronomical event of the year, the clouds come in, stay there till its over and then disperse! I have checked various other sites but can only find a few UK based pictures of the TofV - looks like it was rubbish weather almost everywhere.
Anyway, I did manage to see it in 2004 so I suppose that is something, but it would nice to have been able to see it just one more time. Looking at NASA's web cast is OK, in fact it was pretty neat, but there is something special about seeing these things yourself, through your own scope from your own garden.
